About the event

Introduction

The Aberdeen Ladies Scottish Open Presented by EventScotland will this year be staged at Archerfield Links in East Lothian, Scotland.

The tournament will be played on Archerfield's challenging par 72 Fidra course. A traditional Scottish Links course which was designed by European Senior Tour professional DJ Russell and can boast a unique and inviting mixture of pine forest and fast-running links.

The player field will be comprised of 60 amateur and 60 leading Ladies European Tour professional golfers who will play in a 54 hole championship spread over 3 days. The Pro-Am nature of this event sets it aside from many other LET events as the amateur players will actually play in the event alongside the professionals.
The prize fund is set at €200,000 and with an exclusive player field of just 60; each professional will be vying for their place on the leader board on the closing day.

Aberdeen Asset Management has once again been named as title sponsor with EventScotland acting as presenting sponsor. Archerfield Links is a new host venue in 2010 and is sure to challenge both amateur and professional players throughout the tournament week. The event is also very grateful to be receiving support from East Lothian Council and British Airways.
